camera practise

On Friday we were put into our groups for our thriller practical coursework in my group there is myself, Layla and Lisa. We watched a short video about how to use the camera and the tripod.
We learnt about:
• How to put the battery on and take it off
• Put the tape in
• How to use the zooms manually
• Use the tripod
• Learnt about the safety of the tripod
As there were only two of us in that day we had to mix with another group who only had only two people in the group. After we had done that, we had to plan out a short sequence for a game of cards. Firstly we wrote down on a story board what each shot will be. We chose a dark room with some light, we used extreme close ups, panning, long shot, medium shots, high angle shots and medium close ups. We had to do more than 1 take, we also had to keep 5 second in the beginning and at the end of each shot so that it easier to edit especially in the transitions.
