" Let Em Play God "
The main points in this extract is based on suspense. The suspense can be delivered in many different ways. For example during a thriller films the audience may know what's about happen, where as characters dont. The makes the audience ' Play God'. The way that suspense is deliver makes the film more interesting, for instance a film called 'Rope' which involes a mysterious murder and contains suspense is based on a dead body that has been placed in a chest at a party. As a suspense only the audience knows that the body is there , this creates tension in the film and puts them at the edge of there seats. This also gives a chance for the audience to ask questions such as 'will the murderer break and give themselves away'?
From my first point is keeping the audience who know what has happened but as they do not know what going to happen this creates that suspense. As for delivering suspense is by the audience finding out by them selfs. For example we know someone has been murder and we know who did it. But the audience want to see how the characters find out which makes them feel as though they are 'Playing God'.
What Scares Us
Another scary part of the film was when the young boy had been exploring his new home and sees two young ghost who seem to appear out of nowhere. The young boy sees them and gets very scared and runs away. In this scene the young boy also gets flashes of the two young girls been murdered with blood all across the floor. The music played is very frighting which makes it more dramatic.
The characters in the film seem a bit scary as they seem strange. In one of the scene a man was showing around the mother and son around there new hotel kitchen, and he knew the young child name without being told. The guy also told the boy to stay away from a room. This creates suspense, where there he will listen or not and what lys in that room.
